Terry Wishard, affectionately known as Stretch Harmstrong, holds the esteemed position of Head Coach for the MARS Junior Roller Derby Program, as well as the Lead Coach for the Level 3 Teams. His extensive roller derby background and unwavering passion for the sport make him the ideal leader for our coaching team. Terry's enthusiasm for roller derby is truly infectious, and it radiates throughout our program!
Coach Stretch is a renowned figure in the roller derby realm. As the dedicated Coach of MARS Junior Beasts, for the past 2 seasons, he has earned a reputation for nurturing emerging talents and instilling in them the spirit of true champions.
Terry's journey in roller derby has been nothing short of exceptional. His prowess on the track led him to represent Team USA twice, showcasing his exceptional skills and dedication on the international stage. Notably, he took the helm as the International Head Coach of Team World at the 2023 Junior Roller Derby World Cup, solidifying his influence on a global scale.
Beyond his coaching achievements, Terry's personal life is equally inspiring.
He shares a partnership with Jessica Wishard, known as "Shake and Bake" in the derby world, exemplifying the power of shared passion and teamwork. Together, they are proud parents to Junior Beast Skaters "Baby Stretch" and "Stretch Junior," a testament to their commitment to fostering the next generation of derby stars.
Terry's accomplishments extend beyond derby as an accomplished speed skater, boasting multiple national championships in both derby and speed skating. His dedication to excellence led him to establish Beastside Roller Derby, a testament to his commitment to the sport's growth.
With support from sponsors like MSportswear and Anabolix, Terry "Stretch Harmstrong" Wishard continues to make waves in the roller derby community. His coaching philosophy, paired with his own outstanding journey, cements him as a role model, mentor, and guiding light for aspiring athletes worldwide.

Coach Roman Justice

Matthew Campbell, better known as Roman Justice, assumes the role of Coach within our esteemed coaching lineup. His addition is a testament to his deep-rooted commitment to the sport of roller derby and his dedication to player development.
Roman's involvement with MARS Junior Roller Derby dates back to the inception of our program, highlighting his long-standing commitment to nurturing young talent. In addition to his coaching role, Roman actively participates as a player with Beastside Roller Derby, showcasing his love for the sport on and off the track.
Furthermore, Roman's extensive involvement extends to his role as the Head Referee for MARS, where he plays a crucial part in ensuring fair play and sportsmanship within our league. His contributions also extend beyond our local league, as he is a well-known and admired skating official within the wider roller derby community. Roman generously volunteers his time to officiate at many local events for the Junior Roller Derby Association (JRDA), Womens Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), Mens Roller Derby Association (MRDA) & USA Roller Sports (USARS).
With Roman Justice on board, our coaching team gains an invaluable asset whose expertise, dedication, and reputation in the roller derby community will undoubtedly benefit our junior skaters as they strive for excellence
With an unshakeable belief in unbiased officiating and fair play, Matthew takes immense pride in upholding the integrity of the game.
As a mentor to skaters, he goes the extra mile to ensure they not only excel in their skills but also embody the true essence of sportsmanship. Guiding them through the intricacies of the game's rules, he helps them evolve into well-rounded and disciplined athletes.
Beyond his officiating role, "Roman Justice" is a force to be reckoned with on the track. He dons the jersey of Beastside Roller Derby, further demonstrating his remarkable versatility and dedication to the sport he holds dear.
Matthew Campbell's presence is not only felt on the rink but in the hearts of all those he has touched. As a beacon of fairness, mentorship, and dedication, he continues to inspire the MARS community, leaving an indelible legacy as a true pillar of roller derby excellence.
Coach Shake N Bake

Jessica Wishard, also known as Shake N Bake, is a valued member of our coaching staff. Her dedication and expertise greatly enhance the development of our young athletes, allowing them to refine their skills and strive for their goals.
In addition to her coaching role, Jessica has a deep-rooted connection to the roller derby community. She brings with her a lifetime of speed skating and roller derby experience, which enriches her coaching approach and benefits our junior skaters.
Jessica's passion and commitment extend beyond the track. As highlighted in her current roll as Vice President within our league, she understands the unique challenges and joys associated with junior roller derby, drawing from her six years of dedicated derby parenting. Furthermore, Jessica's contributions expand into her service as an experienced Non-Skating Official (NSO), where she plays an essential role in ensuring fair play and safety. Additionally, she is a vital member of our league's medical staff, further showcasing her dedication to the well-being of our athletes.
With Shake N Bake on our coaching staff, our young athletes receive top-notch coaching and unwavering support to reach their full potential on and off the track. Her multifaceted involvement in the roller derby community is a testament to her commitment to the continued success of our organization.
Coach Allan

Allan Largent assumes the pivotal role of leading the Level 3 team in off-skates conditioning and endurance training, as well as assisting the Head Coach with Level 3 practice. Allan's significant contribution to our team is grounded in his robust personal background in physical fitness.
With a deep passion for maintaining physical health and a wealth of knowledge in fitness training, Allan brings a unique and valuable perspective to our coaching staff. His dedication to promoting physical well-being and strength is an asset to our Level 3 skaters as they work to enhance their athletic performance.
In his role, Allan will not be alone in his efforts. He will receive support and assistance from an esteemed team of coaches, under the guidance of Head Coach Stretch Harmstrong. Together, they will collaborate to provide our skaters with comprehensive training, helping them develop the endurance, strength, and conditioning necessary for success on the track.
Allan's commitment to the physical fitness of our junior skaters and his partnership with our coaching team will undoubtedly contribute to the continued growth and excellence of our athletes.
Coach Rogue

Trinity Wagner, better known as Rogue, is a new addition to the coaching staff with 8 years of junior derby experience, including being a MARS Junior Beast All Star Alumni.
Her motivation, skills, and nurturing personality are instrumental in shaping the future of the team. With a deep passion for the sport, Rogue is dedicated to the ultimate success of the MARS team and the future of derby.
Rogue has a deep understanding of strategy and team dynamics, she brings a positive attitude, encouraging spirit, and strong leadership skills to her coaching role, making her an invaluable asset to the team.
These highly skilled coaches will oversee the skating program, bringing their expertise and love for the sport to our junior skaters. Together, they will foster skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, ensuring that our athletes are well-prepared for a successful season.
